Women in Transition is one example of both creative and high impact color design from George Technologies. The owner is an accomplished person, who demonstrates clear direction in life.  She helps women deal with problems and feelings as they go through transitions, such as a new career, having a family or caring for a parent. Here are some items to look for while viewing her site:

• The home page of this site symbolizes many transitions that are commonly faced by women.  The border and presentation, which is currently a magenta purple geranium, represents life and its changes.  The logo represents life and reality and lights the tunnel. 

 

 

The current version is a Spring-Summer display that uses a geranium border.  One older version of  Women in Transitions's page has a Fall setting.  The leaf background is constructed from a picture of autumn leaves in an old magazine.  Colors were brightened, and unwanted detail was removed from the background and blackened. Both the spring and summer versions were constucted in a similar way.

The tunnel is a black lacquered coaster with the design removed.  Leaves and/or flowers are added, moved or redrawn to form a continuous background.  A few are superimposed over the tunnel, giving the illusion of depth.  Buttons for maneuvering the Web site are made from a single leaf.

• Window shop as you tour the pages for Alisha's Closet, Etc. Each fashion shown has only one size, because it is unique.  The border for the pages is a replica of wallpaper in the hallway of a beautiful 100 year old home in Rochester, which is the site for the Women in Transition seminars.  The classic designs of the dresses show beautifully on black windows or mahogany doors.
